Update on operational disruptions
The Clorox Company is continuing to operate at a lower rate of processing due to the cybersecurity attack on our IT infrastructure. Given that disruption, we are aware of an elevated level of consumer product availability issues.
Based on the information available to date, we believe the unauthorized activity is contained due to the steps the company has taken to address the incident.
We are repairing the portions of our IT infrastructure that were damaged, and we are reintegrating the systems that were proactively taken offline. We expect to begin the process of transitioning back to normal automated order processing the week of Sept. 25, and we have already resumed production at the vast majority of our manufacturing sites. We expect the ramp-up to full production to occur over time but do not yet have an estimate for how long it will take to resume fully normalized operations.
While we cannot yet quantify the financial impact, we now believe this will be material on first-quarter financial results. It is premature for us to determine longer-term impact, including fiscal year outlook, given the ongoing recovery.
As the situation is evolving, we will continue to provide updates here.
Update on operational disruptions
We continue to be on a path to the restoration of the systems that were taken offline after we discovered unauthorized activity on some of our IT systems.
Over the past two weeks, we have implemented an interim solution for manually processing and shipping orders across our manufacturing facilities. Through a principles-based approach, we are making every effort to prioritize consumer in-stocks — taking into account seasonal promotions and consumer needs.
We are resuming production, getting certain shipments out the door, and remaining in constant contact with customers about their immediate needs. We appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding as we work through this.
While we are making progress, at this time we are not able to broadly ship our full portfolio to all customers until additional systems come back online. Consumers can still find our products available at the various retailers where they normally buy our family of brands.
As the situation is evolving, we will continue to provide updates here.

Update on operational disruptions
The Clorox Company recently identified unusual activity on our IT systems. Upon detection we immediately took steps to stop the activity and took certain systems offline. While we are working diligently to respond to and address this issue, these systems will remain offline out of an abundance of caution as we work to add additional protections and hardening measures to further secure them. As a result, some operations are temporarily impaired. We are following our business continuity plans and implementing workarounds where possible.
The investigation into the nature and scope of the incident remains ongoing and is in its very early stages. Our team is working diligently to restore systems safely and quickly, and we will ensure all suppliers and customers are updated as necessary.
